Legislation proposes sale of state park land in Solebury to preserve

Bowman’s Hill Tower and about 190 acres of Washington Crossing State Park could be sold by the state for $1 to the Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve Association, Inc.

Most of the land is situated in the northern section of the park in Solebury Township just south of New Hope Borough.

House Bill 2126, introduced by State Rep. Bernie O’Neill (R-29), would convey about 100 acres of the northern park to the association for $1. O’Neill’s district extends from Warminster to New Hope.
