O’Neill Invites 29th District Seniors to Expo
WARMINSTER – Rep. Bernie O’Neill (R-Bucks) is inviting seniors of the 29th Legislative District and their families to attend a Senior Expo on Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nativity of Our Lord Community Center, located at 585 W. Street Road, Warminster.

“This event brings a variety of service providers together in one place at the same time, making it more convenient to learn about the benefits available to our older residents,” O’Neill said.

Representatives from federal, state and local agencies and the health care industry will be on hand to speak with seniors about available programs and services, as well as answer questions or concerns.

This event is open to residents of the 29th District only. Admission to the event is free and no reservations are necessary.

Information will be available regarding fraud prevention and elder abuse, the Bucks County Tour of Honor for veterans, energy efficiency, home care and medical home care options, immunization, nutrition and healthy lifestyles, historical re-enactments, emergency preparedness and much more.

In addition to information, the expo will feature a variety of free health screenings and on-site flu and pneumonia vaccines. Those planning on getting a flu shot during the expo should bring their Medicare or insurance information.

The Bucks County Recorder of Deeds will also be on hand to issue photo identification cards to veterans that entitle them to special discounts at local businesses. Veterans are required to bring and show their original DD-214 honorable discharge form to obtain this ID.
