HARRISBURG – Rep. Bernie O’Neill (R-Bucks) has been appointed to serve on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), the nonprofit student aid organization. As one of eight House appointees to the 20-member PHEAA board, O’Neill will be responsible for helping to oversee how the college grants and loan programs are administered.

CHALFONT – Nearly 160 veterans of the Vietnam War era were honored Nov. 10 at a special ceremony hosted by Sen. Charles McIlhinney (R-Bucks/10th) and Reps. Katharine Watson (R-Bucks/144th) and Bernie O’Neill (R-Bucks/29th) at Byers Choice in Chalfont. The ceremony was held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the start of the war.

Chuck McIlhinney, will hold a Vietnam Veterans’ Commemorative Ceremony to recognize and honor the Vietnam War Era Veterans of the 10th Senatorial District for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the United States. WHAT: Rep. Bernie O’Neill (R-Bucks) will hold a dedication ceremony to unveil road signs designating a portion of State Route 263, as the Officer Bradley M. Fox Memorial Highway in honor of a Plymouth Township Police Officer who lost his life in the line of duty in 2012. O’Neill authored legislation to name the local highway in Fox’s honor, which was signed into law in July. The event will include ceremonial tributes from Fox’s family, law enforcement colleagues, community members and outside organizations.
